Karhu (meaning Bear in Finnish) was established as a sports wear brand in 1916 and featured prominently in the 1920's Antwerp Olympic games. Originally the owner of the three stripes trademark, Karhu sold this to then little known brand Adidas in 1951, adopting the M-logo they currently use in 1960.  Their pursuit for efficiency continues, following their 'Faster, Farther, Easier' philosophy the brand offers a range of different models, all of which allow for each runners individual interpretation of what efficiency means.
